I know my question is vague, and so to clarify like for example if I wanted to discuss the pattern of a Kotlin Discussions post being created every few months about Kotlin vs Java, what channel would be the best to start a thread like that in? I thought about posting in #general, but it seems like that probably wouldn't be appropriate

Yeah, I simply couldn’t find a better match. Just sharing an idea - it can be started as a project on #random, for instance, suggesting a topic for discussion every Friday and see what happen. If people engage, you can create a specific channel
