Yes, but people in that channel are mostly talking about the compose UI part of Android
Also, there are seperate channels for #compose-desktop and #compose-web

I think you know that Compose is made with Kotlin, and is also Kotlin-only.

So, same reason why there's an #android channel to give just one example.
There's also a #javascript channels where people talk about Kotlin/JS things.

It also includes all generic compose question (like runtime) which affects all other platforms (same as UI part, is reused for desktop). And as Louis said, the fact that compose is 100% Kotlin and can be used only with Kotlin already makes it perfectly fine to have a channel in this Slack
