My humble 2 cents is that we're fighting people's nature with all the creative restrictions in attempt to harness the baddies, means it's probably going to fail. Maybe just let it be, #android as a general cloaca and #android-kotlin for the rest of elitists.

About the "elitists" of the Android community, they're not very active in this Slack AFAIK, and the current situation doesn't attract them towards the #android channel, understandably.
