I think you're missing the forest through the trees on a lot of those points, and mostly fall into the trap of arguing that any non-zero value somehow redeems all cost. In a signal-to-noise problem, you can't just argue on behalf of the (minuscule) signal.

My argument is simply that I do not feel that these points are being recognised. If the consensus is that they aren't particularly valuable, then that is all good to dismiss them. I think you assume that I believe these to be of minuscule value too? I consider particularly preserving the social aspects of less constraints to be a lot more than "non-zero" value. Perhaps they are more close to noise for people who's work is directly related to content in this slack and have to be here? I feel for people who's primary income is not at all related to anything here, these social elements are quite vital in the decision of what technology they invest interest in and contribute to

I recognize your points, we wouldn't be having this thread if people weren't arguing that side. I'm claiming that the social elements you see and value are actively kneecapped by the crowds of people using this as a bougie stackoverflow, and it could be so much better if you filter the noise
