Isn't it more like a common sense? I mean, as long as you know what are you doing it shouldn't be a problem to decide where to put what. But yes, with rx sometimes it's a tempting competition who can juggle operators in a most creative way, even if it's not required :simple_smile:

right, but im sure they dont think aboit the atomicity of the chain. 

Btw I think its kind of is propagated by retrofit in a sense because people usually have api methods as Singles. and rxjava having in docs that say the blocking operators are for debugging / testing only
