i have no trouble with it
what’s the added value of a build tool dedicated for the language?
again, look at scala and where it brought them

Scala also got their own repo, and not that awesome bidirectional interop. Kobalt works with maven repos, so it’s just a different build tool, not entirely new universe to download from.

I wasn’t advocating for everyone to use kobalt, was just asking a question because I’m personally enjoying using Kobalt.

Current state of kotlin-dsl for gradle is quite good, so although I like kobalt, played with it for a bit, I don't see any compelling reason to switch.
Also I don't see any compelling reason for Spring team to spend resources on supporting it on start.spring.io, kobalt adoption is mostly limited to a very small portion of kotlinlang slack users for now.
