Just published a short overview of yet another KMP starter project powered by Redux (ReKotlin/ReKamp) architecture and XcodeGen on iOS side: https://medium.com/xorum-io/battle-tested-template-project-for-kotlin-multiplatfor[…]92bb00c?source=friends_link&sk=399363810f81c43301472a08cbfef50d

Two posts below in the channel, I invalidated the statement where you say you need a Mac to write the iOS code 😉 https://kotlinlang.slack.com/archives/C0BJ0GTE2/p1622739741139100?thread_ts=1622739741.139100&cid=C0BJ0GTE2

@louiscad that’s an awesome plugin, which would make many things possible for non-mac users. But it won’t allow you to launch, test or compile KMP modules for iOS or do I miss anything?

@Yev Kanivets You missed the FAQ right into the README

@louiscad this one?

Yes

That’s not exactly what I meant 🙂

CI is cool, but checking the compilation on CI gonna be a long story for the KMP dev.
At least from my personal experience.

Did you look at the entire FAQ answer? CI is not the only way.

For the record, I don’t like the Mac-only approach as well 🙂
Haha, I know there are other options, but one thing is that something is possible (big kudos to you for making it possible), but another thing is how convenient it is.
The KMP itself isn’t yet convenient enough for the wide adoption, and if you try it on non-mac machine you have even less convenience, which may seriously affect your impression for the tech.
