Hey all :wave: We just dropped <#C88E12QH4|detekt> version `1.16.0` stable:

Much :heart: to the whole community as this release comes with a LOT of features (e.g. Multiplatform support, Report merging) as well as several brand new rules.

I'm sure this gets asked all the time, but if I currently use ktlint, and want to adopt detekt, should I remove my ktlint first and then add detekt as it seems like detekt adds ktlint as well?

I recommend to keep both. But as Roman say you can decide.

after the update, do we need to generate again the detekt configuration file?

<@UTC0F4M0S> Not necessarily, but you will miss the new keys that got added because of new rules.

<@UD5B40SMN> any reason you recommend keeping both? Are there any issues using the ktlint support in detekt?

Ktlint works perfectly fine by itself you don't need to add a wrap around it.
