I wrote a small article on how to create code images that look good directly inside Android Studio. I find it very useful for small articles or to share code on social media! https://dev.to/antoine/create-code-screenshots-straight-from-your-ide-38ke

I hate when medium articles use images for code samples. Makes it so you cannot copy paste and experiment with the code. This seems like an improvement on the way people currently create those images, but it is improving something I wish people would do less.

I completely agree for things like tutorials where you have to copy paste a lot of the code. But for something like an article on good practices for a specific technology or to showcase some specific features I think you’ll just be looking at code without really running it yourself. And on top of that I’ve been seeing it more on more on Twitter to share snippets of “cool code” which is perfect in that case
