it is not yet clear what will happen to the project next, Craig Tadlock announced the release and split into modules, but something died down

Thanks Bogdan, <https://github.com/edvin/tornadofx2/pull/14> fixes the problem for me at least, not sure if it will fix it in your case as the situation is different.
