To be fair though, they did change how JDK development worked for the better. In good ol' Sun days opensource JDK lacked a lot in comparison with the full Sun JDK. Then came Oracle and decided that from now on OpenJDK is the reference, and Oracle JDK is based on it. Since then we are free to choose and don't loose much if anything when switching to OpenJDK :slightly_smiling_face:

Yeah, my point is, Oracle isn't 100% evil
That said, there's enough evil about Oracle to justify "Internet-hating" them :smile:

I'm salty too.  Would have liked a pan industry "Java One" over an "Oracle One" too

That’s why I’m investing all my coins in Kotlin  ; )

With llvm maybe kotlin will not even need jvm anymore :smiley:
