there are some javafx property objects that need to be wrapped for the progress tracking feature. you can always bring your own rest werb client datasource (ex, apache cxf) and put that into non-FX classes

That's already done (and should be done) in the change listener. The issue is that the add and remove from that list is done on the Prlatform.RunLater
