i was trying to look that up yesterday after reading the original question. I think select() could use a nice little blurb in the documentation. the shortened s() is used in an example but doesn't have much explaining what it is or how its used.

I agree. Could you open an issue (or better yet a PR if you're up to it)?

i'm not even sure how to O.o, i don't mind opening an issue if you point me in the right direction. I actually don't know enough about the topic to actually write it up.
No worries, an issue is is great. A PR would just be icing on the cake (if you'll pardon the cliche).

🙂 .. sad thing is... i don't even have a github account. i have a bitbucket.. anyway this is an excuse to at least make an account 🙂

it's good to have the access to the latest, esp. with the pending jdk10 branch work. you can skim the log to see what's actually happened i recommend a fork so that you can submit PRs (as well as issues)

@Spike Baylor Yeah, I prefer GitLab myself, but I have accounts for all three.

sadly i barely get myself to work on my own projects, so i haven't had the desire or chance to really give back to any open source projects. So i just haven't had any pressing need. I've been giving myself a half hour or so in the mornings to work on things which has been nice. So maybe i'll get around to it!
