It could be caused by java 9. Try using java 8.

03/15/2018, 11:40 AMI do not really understood what you have said. Sadly, tornadofx uses some hacks to access javafx internals which are not available on java 9. So the only solution I found is to roll back to java 8. I hope that it will be fixed soon.
