It's a bit sad that you eventually removed `pack()` / `unpack()` methods but I see the point with view hierarchy. But what do you think on automatic saving and restoring of data injected via `params`? Should that be possible?
If you wish, I can fill an issue on the repo to discuss it in a bit more structured way than here.
