I'm trying to update Vert.x 3.8.5 code to 4.0 beta 3... isn't Kotlins String extension still supporting toLong(), toInt() ...?

Those functions are from Kotlin's stdlib. You should be having other troubles I guess as

queryParam

still has the same signature afaik
