you would need to more tightly control the rxjava threading to essentially be syncronous. SQLDelight can only guarantee that at some point you will have the latest version of the data set.

i think you could make it syncronous like this:

queries.selectStatus(1)
            .asObservable(Schedulers.trampoline())
