I tried eclipse-kotlin plugin, and it's nowhere production ready. I'd like to introduce kotlin to colleges, but sadly, it's no good. Kotlin advertise support for Eclipse/NetBeans in the official FAQ, but it's more like a joke, especially that NetBeans plugin had been deprecared and has 0 development since 2016. It seems like JB is more focused on big Android market (they even postpone some features like jlink modularization support by almost a year because of this).

Yup, eclipse is still a no-go. I wonder if anyone has statistics on how many developers made/make a switch to IntelliJ because of the lack of Kotlin support in alternative IDEs.

Sometimes it's not even possible (special plugins, RCP development, other internal reasons), like in my case.
But I don't think there are too many, Kotlin desktop share is not that big, judging by polls

Yeah, I totally understand that. But there's a huge crowd of developers who are only tied to one IDE due to personal preference or sometimes company/team policy, that's why I'm curious.
