We are working on #arrow-meta that solves this issue providing a friendly DSL to write plugins for the CLI and IDE. ETA October-November for a first alpha release with a bunch of demo plugins

@raulraja Weren't you planning to make a blog post about your findings about the inner workings of the compiler during the development of arrow-meta?

@tschuchort yes, it will follow after my Lambda World talk where @simon.vergauwen and I will be presenting the work many contributors have been doing in meta and the evolution from what we had to where we are aiming and the current state.
