Are there any plans to support writes of uByteArrays, per chance?

No plans so far, but it would make a lot of sense to provide that support. If you wouldn't mind creating a GitHub issue.

Sure! We are looking at creating some sort of extension function right now. We are primarily running into this issue because our firmware is expecting an unsigned 16 bit value
