It is not the first such comment, but I think, no chances here. Kotlin has multiplatform and jvm is the best solution for scientific tasks.

Agree but Swift is taking momentum. The fact that fast.ai is using it is definitely a boost for it. And anyway we have to admit it's a step up from Python. Maybe it would be good to see the steps they are taking for its adoption

Swift does not stand a chance. The only people that are talking about it re those, who think, that Apple is the only computer vendor in the world. It had some chances before arrival of kotlin, but now, it just has nothing to present. There was an attempt to move it outside of the Apple ecosystem, but it failed.
