Hi!

I'm trying to get rid of appCompat and `material`dependencies, usinig just a ComponentActivity from androidx.activity:Activity:1.3.0 , but i receive a crash:

    java.lang.AbstractMethodError: abstract method "void androidx.lifecycle.DefaultLifecycleObserver.onCreate(androidx.lifecycle.LifecycleOwner)

so, only workaround is to use agp 7.1.0-alpha06?

You can either set minSdkVersion to 24+ (for debug builds) or use agp 7.0.0.
