Is there some kind of debug functionality for recomposition?
I'd like to have a mode where a section of the screen flashes when it get's recomposed.

You can enable that in android's developer options. It's about view updates though, so I guess recompositions that don't change anything won't show

In our roadmap posted today we have the item "Support Recomposition Tooling". we plan to add features like that screen-flash mode as part of that

Cool. It would be great if the individual proposals could be linked somewhere (like with keeps).

Agreed, we know the roadmap is very minimalist right now and see it as just a starting point. the Kotlin keep process is one of the things we're looking at for inspiration
