06/21/2021, 9:06 PMIt shows up in the standard Android EditText as well, it's to indicate which word would be replaced when tapping one of the autocomplete suggestions on the keyboard

06/22/2021, 12:49 AMThis is shown by the IME and turning it off will result in a bad user experience, especially when inputting scripts that require conversion such as CJK, where the underline indicates which part of the text to convert.
