I am trying to build something like this, but my head couldn't figure it out, any idea how to get this gradient

Since left to right is saturation and top to bottom is brightness it is I think the easiest to create it with two gradients overlayed over each other. On the bottom from left to right 0 to 100% saturation and 1 hue and 100% brightness with an HSL color.
Then overlay that gradient with a transparant top to black bottom color.

Funny, I did the same thing just a few days ago. I also just layered background modifiers:
