Any ETA when Compose will come to beta? Also, would a beta release be ready for production?

We have not made any announcement about when Compose will turn beta except "in 2021" :)

As for production readiness, a beta for us will indicate API stability. There might still be issues. It also won't be at feature parity with all the existing View stuff.

That means that 1.0 will have feature parity?

We prioritize features to deliver the most common/useful ones early. Remember that the current UI toolkit has been in development for 15 years, we've had time to implement a lot of things :) Compose is a good opportunity to set aside obsolete features but we don't want to wait for complete parity even taking that into account before shipping Compose 1.0.

:) I just want lazyColumn and other scrolling Containers, to less janky, on slightly older devices. or at least still equivalent to RV.
