So far they've said they only support canary builds of AS, so as soon as canary graduates it loses compose support. 4.2 has been working well for me though so far

oh ok so instead of updating 4.1 I should have switched to 4.2
I think that’s the 2nd time I made that mistake

I believe this will be the policy until compose is using a stable version of kotlin. Sorry for the mix-up

Yeah I have no problem with the policy, I just wish it would figure I was in Canary so give me the next Canary release. Anyway, nbd. I did install 4.2 but after generating a project, went to run it in the Emulator a couple times and it kept saying it succeeded, but the app never loaded. Will try some more tomorrow..

FWIW, I use Jetbrains Toolbox; and it was smart enough to take me from 4.1 Canary 10 to 4.2 Canary 1 instead of 4.1. beta
