I think that is expected, if that composable is only 16 dp tall. That's pretty small, so the preview looks very zoomed in. How does it look if you zoom to 1:1?

In 1:1 view, it is small to be clearly visible, but still looks rough

I think the preview also just renders at a much lower resolution. I've noticed the same problem with the new option to run the emulator inside of the ide.

Studio had a few high dpi related issues recently
