04/11/2021, 2:06 AMMichal no one actually knows. But my guess is that android studio is waiting for the big google io conference next month to make some waves. My prediction 4.2 RC 1 moves to stable. Arctic fox canary ends up moving to beta. Compose moves to RC and so you can use it outside of canary for first time in AS beta. Gradle 7 released yesterday with native m1 support. Kotlin 1.5 stable. New canary based off of 2021.1 with m1 support.
Just so many things lined up to release in the next month or so.
