This is driving me crazy, when I have two tabs opened side by side, the cursor sometimes jumps to the other tab for no reason. I have even reset the settings. Using 2020.3.1 canary 8

I have experienced similar, but in older versions of AS, where autosuggestions / lint would take focus and you suddenly got transferred to another tab.

Did you manage to solve it somehow?
