Srsly I’m getting a little desperate here. This glitch is impairing my work and I don’t even know how to report it. How do I disable this weird “tab” window view?

I need to restart android studio more than 5x a day, it’s not the arctic fox version as I have 4 versions of AS and they all have the same issue.

I feel it could be bigSur, this never happened before bigSur but it’s not an option to downgrade

Not sure if you need that anymore, but in case anyone gets here: it's a setting in macos, not android studio. Can't remember exactly but something like: preferences, general, prefer tabs, never.

You can also set it app by app in code line tool but can't remember how, you need to google
