What are the functional differences between a SharedFlow and a StateFlow.buffer(_UNLIMITED_)? Buffering a StateFlow seems to mimic SharedFlow for a simple test I created. Is there a fundamental difference between the way those two flows behave?

Try emitting the same value twice. StateFlow has builtin distinctUntilChanged operator.
