That looks like an over zealous validation. There's a chance that it'll work again if you remove the check or revert to a previous version. I'll look into it in more details on Monday

We added directives validation recently looks like it's catching a bit too many things

Actually, I think the directive isn't used by apollo android. If you remove it, it'll most likely be ok

Many thanks. `3.0.0-dev12-SNAPSHOT`  works fine, but I can’t resolve this dependency anymore since it’s not available on Sonatype.
