• To beat the flutter guy when he showoff with their multi-platform code

I've been coding with Vue and Rails, then Vue and Sails, and wanted a place I could code and not have to rewrite my objects, and have type safety. TS could have covered it, but KT is sexier.

To develop an app with desktop-sized real estate, but provide better UX than web and have native access to things like filesystems, running local servers, background processing, etc.

To replace every electron app that consume my RAM

Also: to learn Compose independently from what I know about Android
