I'd probably describe it as "actively being explored" rather than "actively being worked on". Community contributions welcomed. Andrei has done an amazing job in this space (https://android-review.googlesource.com/q/owner:andreiishikov%2540gmail.com) but this is very much being driven by the community at the moment, so feel free to jump in and help out.

The only thing that more or less works for JS right now is the compiler, and, hopefully, is will be merged to the main repo at some point.

I explored creating somewhat reusable components for browser DOM (you may have seen a small demo with them before), but as Jim mentioned, there are no concrete plans on how this is going to atm :)
