I think as soon as they figure out how to let you ingest an existing `*.xcodeproj` (rather than having to build an equivalent in the gradle dsl), this will be a winning solution.

And I believe I read somewhere that this was on the roadmap. I’d be curious if that’s true and, if so, ETA?

Personally I wouldn't mind manually porting the xcode project to gradle DSL, but a migration tool would certainly be handy.
