I haven't tried that approach with SwiftUI admittedly. I imagine it would work as well, minus the 'fast feedback' in Xcode ofc - that's probably reason enough to use Swift, actually.

I think, once we step into Kotlin MultiPlatform we should make the real jump. Forget about the classic view systems, and start architecting using the declarative UIs.
Using Kotlin MultiPlatform on the ancient Android View system or the iOS Storyboard is just a waste of time. The sooner you make the switch, the happier.

I tend to agree - my only hope is that we can keep the Swift layer as thin as possible to just the View declaration.

SwiftUI is just a declarative UI, very much identical to Jetpack Compose. Itโ€™s a very thin layer.
