Odd, I would hope that by September the pandemic would be behind us.

Even if it is (which I sincerely hope so), conferences take a long time to organise and right now there is a lot of uncertainty in the world, including travel bans, restrictions with deliverable, companies closing down, services unavailable. And it’s not easy to plan an event with so much disruption.
