Jetbrains promised to publicly announce something new. Hope it will be something cool enough and not an MPP update K

1. Why isn't an update to MPP cool enough? 2. They promised to announce a new "product for teams". I don't think MPP fits that bill.
All our products are built by teams - our latest is created to deliver what teams need to get work done.

Because MPP is meh enough Didn't heat about teamy thingie

For example public release of reusing containers in the library testcontainers on the conference was cool enough
r
I guess you and I have different ideas of "cool" 🙂
m
Definitely. It's totally about point of view
r
Indeed. So I guess no matter what they announce someone will find it cool enough. (Granted, the flip side is no matter what they announce someone will fine it too lame.)
f
From what I heard about the product it’s not even gonna be kotlin related
m
If its not kotlin-related, then its meh-related

This conversation has different taste while I’m watching the “No country for old men” :)
o
it will be kotlin related, of course
r
What makes you say that?
o
because it will be announced on KotlinConf it's not JetBrainsConf So it's logical, that it will be somehow related to kotlin, no? And, some info exists, that - new project is fully written in kotlin
r
Written in Kotlin doesn't necessarily mean related to Kotlin.
I'm not saying it definitely won't be, just that all the hints so far make it sound more targeted at development in general, and not Kotlin specific.
d
Not Kotlin related really, but also not disappointing?
r
Indeed

Basically the GitLab killer
