Hi, I just wanted to congratulate the KotlinConf team for doing a great job at recording the talks. The speakers are properly visible, all the time, and the slides are too, and are big enough to be easily readable. Thanks!

But some of them (including mine) are completely desynchronized (6 min) making them impossible to understand. 😭
o
@hhariri are you aware?
g
Yes he is, and also @jenniferchow. I’m not the only one. Mike Earn has 11 min of delay. People are complaining: 👎
I just got a mail from Jennifer. Should be fixed quite soon. 👍

Good 🙂
g
Nope…
l
@gaetan Please, could you remember to notify us in this channel, and also in KotlinConf Twitter account when the fixes are uploaded?
g
👍
h
No. Not yet. We’re still waiting. And unfortunately when they will be fixed, the old ones will be unlisted, so comments will be lost.
l
@hhariri Hopefully, the comments only talk about the out of sync issue 😅
h
Hopefully. But still, it’s a shame.
l
Yeah, that's a shame, the thumbs down will also get lost! I assume YouTube may become more forgiving about post posting fixes when compute power is efficient enough to add machine learning and check for all videos you only made edits and did not change the whole video when posting an edit to an already posted video
But that's far from being near as of 2017, computing so much data for such things would have a negative impact on power consumption, and therefore, the environment.
@hhariri Could be a nice idea to add annotations to the YouTube video to let the viewers know there's an issue in the video and that it'll be fixed, with the new link available in the same playlist and on the kotlinconf website

The video of Mike Earn has been fixed.
