I asked this question some time ago. They said, they are thinking about it.

@altavir Do you know if they thought about it? In the notebook editor, the kernel dropdown doesn't show the "Kotlin" kernel, despite it is installed and selectable from Jupyter. I have to manually edit the
.ipnb
file to use the Kotlin kernel. Also, I have no Kotlin completion in the notebooks.

As far as I knot, current focus is to support Kotlin notebooks in IDEA (you should ask @roman.belov). The I have not heard about any current timline for DataSpell.

Indeed we are working on [Kotlin Notebook plugin](https://plugins.jetbrains.com/plugin/16340-kotlin-notebook), which is currently unstable and not yet ready for trying it seriously. But it’s definitely better then editing Kotlin notebooks in DataSpell 😉

That's so great @roman.belov. Indeed I only installed Dataspell to have Kotlin notebooks. Will you publish a blog article when you think the plugin is ready for preview?
a
Plugin is already available for preview. But there are a lot of technical problems still.
r
@Didier Villevalois Of course I will!

OK, I'll try it anyway then.
Thanks guys.
