Actually, I don't, maybe I am a freak. Anyway, it is fools errand to influence a language-lover. It is possible to write in any language as long as writer is good, so if the guy has experience with swift and loves it, let him.
After all, a lot of people like to program in Fortran.

There is also prejudice against JVM and Java. You can't fight with that.

It is really hilarious to hear about Java slowness from python people 🙂 Also in my field there is a lot of Fortran/C++ guys who talk a lot about its performance and in fact write very badly optimized single-thread code.
