thats generally what one would be looking for when exploring data, right ? going fast and having concise and readable code

I heard some data scientists say why they prefer Python to other languages, "one do not need to learn Python, you can just code in it". Those data scientists (I'm talking about) are former mathematicians and physicists, they have weak computer science background and do not wish to waste time digging into how it works on implementation level, learning new syntax, thinking about type correctness. I'm not sure that they will refuse Python without strong force of circumstance. But I think there will be some number of kotlinhead data scientists who will use Kotlin for data science 😏
Someone just need to show (and prove) that Kotlin is more comfortable/effective for data science, than its "default" language

I don't know if Kotlin will displace Python in the current data science space. I think honestly Kotlin will be better off positioning itself for a "post-data science" world where machine learning and analytics becomes more systematic and engineering-driven, or whatever that next phase will be. My hypothesis may be completely wrong though, but my intuition doesn't mislead me too often.
