Are the 'not Kotlin' emojis really necessary? I'm happy to help answer questions loosely related to Android dev in this channel, whether they directly involve Kotlin or not. Surely I'm not the only one? We have an amazing wealth of knowledge here, and it seems a shame to turn questions away just because they don't strictly relate to the language. It seems to me that there's no harm in asking..

there is harm in answering them here. the questions should go somewhere where their solutions will be found by other Android questioners to assist them in the future.
also it absolutely detracts from the signal to noise ratio here

And it's as kotlin slack....Google and Jetbrains folks watch for kotlin issues with Android usage here so it adds to the noise for them... The channel info has details on other places to ask generic Android questions...

I'm a bit torn here. 95% here is 😶 But of the 5% K it's like 95% not androidalive I think there is just not that much android specific kotlin at all besides stuff like parcelize.

I find it positively surprising how little volume there is, taking into account that we have 43k people in this channel

"suprising how little volume" ... "43k people" Maybe (?) its because kotlin is so obvious
