Does someone recommends this book for a kotlin begginer? Head First Kotlin (oreilly.com)
k
It could be ok for people who already know another programming language and want to learn Kotlin. However, its style doesn't appeal to me because it uses a lot of text and images just to explain each simple concept. I prefer books that are concise. But each reader will have a different personal preference. However, another flaw with this book is that it's nearly 4 years old and Kotlin has made many improvements since then that won't be in this book.

Im a java developer so yes I am migrating from another lang. Could you recomend me a book from oreilly? (my company provides my safari books so they are free to me :))
k
I've learned Kotlin purely from the documentation and tutorials on kotlinlang.org without using any book. I can recommend this website. Hopefully others will have book recommendations.

i always like all of the Head First suite of books

I like the content, quite a fun way to present it, but I just wished the layout was neater, not with 100 different fonts and diagrams springing up here and there.

yeah. i think its to try to get your brain to memorize things. but i can see how some people dont like the noise
