Is there an issue I could follow for how plugins could generate files in a K2-friendly way? It seems right now the only support is still AnalysisHandlerExtension, which is only supported in the legacy compiler afaik. Let me know if I’m missing something though!

@Zac Sweers can you elaborate "generate files in a K2-friendly way"?
Do you mean "generate new sources like KAPT or KSP does" or smth else?

Right, though in my case I'm looking to generate resources rather than new source files

There is a feature request (KT-54850), you can track it
But I can't give any estimates on it, because it's not required for K2 release
