That reddit post has no actual source mentioning it is deprecated, it makes a claim in the title and the image tied to it is just mentioning how flows *can* be used to replace LiveData. The official documentation makes no mention of deprecation. It is possible it gets deprecated at some point because flows are a Android-agnostic replacement to LiveData.
