Hmmm. This is definitely one of those things that’s :not-kotlin: , but I’ve just encountered it myself and this is the only place I’ve seen a discussion. It seems to just be an internal IDE error. I managed to trigger it by adding root project names while working on a composite build  while also using one of the Android Studio Canary builds. I was able to resolve it simply by restarting Android Studio.
