Why was the examples removed from the kotlin-native repo? I am not able to find any sort of interop examples on the new suggested link?

We still have this https://github.com/JetBrains/kotlin-native/tree/archive/samples but does this mean the samples directory no longer will be maintained?

https://github.com/JetBrains/kotlin/tree/master/kotlin-native/backend.native/tests/samples seems to be the new home? Makes very little sense to provide cinterop examples in a tests folder.

Yes, the project has been moved, but that was quite a while ago.
