Looks like kotest (I am still on 4.3.2 for reasons) disables all kotlin @Test (not in the jvm target but at least in the js target) is this a known limitation and is there maybe a workaround for it?

great, looks like the problem no longer exists with kotest 5.5.4 🙂
So will eventually resolve when I am able to update to kotest 5.5.4.
No need to investigate further IMO
